What does a student doing a Bachelor of Arts in business administration do?

The bachelor of arts business administration course with a specialization in commerce at the university of cooperative education in Karlsruhe or Mannheim prepares students to take on a position of responsibility in our company. We expect our applicants:

  • to have a qualification for university entrance with good grades

  • to have an interdisciplinary mindset

  • to identify with our regionally based and dynamic medium-sized company

During their three-year studies, students will gather experience in the following functions within our company: logistics, purchasing, sales, marketing, finance and accounting as well as IT.

The BA programme at the university of cooperative education provides a solid education in business management in all of the basic subjects (general business administration, economics, finance and accounting as well as commercial law) and includes specialist courses on the retail sector, such as on retail marketing, procurement & merchandise management. Students then link the theory learned during the semester to practice by writing two project papers and their final Bachelor’s thesis.
